Astro Update for September, 2008

Relationships and social issues are going to be big news this month! September begins with three planets – Mercury, Venus and Mars -- in the social, relationship-oriented sign of Libra and the Sun travelling with Saturn in earthy Virgo, the sign of the Harvest.  It’s a good opportunity to join with others in creating a harvest of social change that leads to increased security and abundance for everyone involved, whether in your personal social circle, or on a larger stage.  Networking and the exchange of ideas is always easier under the influence of Libran energy, so reach out to others, but communicate, don’t nitpick and criticize!

Jupiter and Pluto both turn direct early in the month, and situations that seemed stuck or blocked may begin to move forward again with this shift in energies. Be careful of biting off more than you can chew as both these planets can inflate and empower any point in your chart that they touch.

A Harvest Full Moon in Pisces on the 15th emphasizes making the changes needed to bring dreams into manifestation, and continues the emphasis on compassion and understanding for others. 

Venus enters Scorpio on the 23rd, and, Mercury goes retrograde in Libra the next day. Mercury Rx can bring challenges in communication, particularly in Libra, but can also be a good time for healing past misunderstandings. Then the month ends with the Libra New Moon on the 29th.  With Libra’s ruler Venus in Scorpio, we are challenged to look deeply at our personal motivations and authenticity in our relationships with others, and reminded to look for the win-win answer to relationship situations.
